JOB DESCRIPTION:

Desired Skills

  • Minimum 2-5 years L3 level experience of handling fort iGATE Firewall,CISCO Routers, L2 & L3 Cisco switches
  • Actively involved in Incident management and doing RCA.
  • Minimum CCNA certification is mandatory.
  • Hands-on on configuring different routing protocols, BGP configuration,and stringent access policies on CISCO routers, Palo Alto Firewall
  • Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends,sometimes with little advanced notice.
  • No regular travel is required. But sometimes need to travel for projectsor reporting

Operational Management

  • Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzingworkflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing routeradministration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
  • Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues includingavailability, utilization, throughput, good put, and latency; planning andexecuting the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment;defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections andfirewalls.
  • Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring andanalysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalatingproblems to vendor.
  • Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, andevaluation; maintaining documentation.
  • Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs; providingreferences and support.
  • Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing,evaluating, and installing enhancements.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities;reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participatingin professional organizations.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishingnew and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to jobaccomplishments.
