Guljit Singh

Group Executive Chairperson

Guljit has over 42 years of successful global business experience. He took early retirement from being a Director/Global Advisor at a large US-based global manufacturer in the Chicago area to pursue other challenging opportunities after working with them for over 39 years in positions of increasing responsibility, starting as a Design Engineer. During this period, the company grew from a small US start-up to a large global manufacturer of disposable medical devices. Over the years, Guljit’s focus shifted from the USA to Europe and eventually to Asia-Pacific and South America, with a proven record of maintaining and sustaining the progress achieved and expanding in all markets. He has traveled extensively including to countries such as China, Mexico, India, Spain, Costa Rica, Ireland, Thailand, and Malaysia. An engineer and manager by training, he played a major role in setting up three large entities/businesses in the USA, Europe, and Asia, creating hundreds of new jobs. The last major undertaking – a greenfield project with complete responsibility – was the development of a manufacturing base in the Asia-Pacific region starting with a business case leading to the setting up of a world-class medical device plant in North India in record time and on budget. All major projects throughout the world were for strategic growth. Guljit has extensive experience in all aspects of running a global business – business and quality regulations, setting up legal entities, business acquisitions, business restructurings, marketing, legal, financing, manufacturing, human resources, information technology, marketing, product development, land acquisition, government relations, etc. The early part of his career was spent in designing and building highly specialized, proprietary manufacturing equipment and plant start-ups.

With his knowledge, diverse business experience, and global exposure, Guljit heads the management of Nexdigm Group, keeping in mind Nexdigm's rapid growth and future expansion plans. He has been associated with Nexdigm for over nine years – first as a client and then as the Executive Chairman. His key role is to enable Nexdigm to become a truly global organization, providing the necessary leadership and guidance in developing strategy, and providing a governance model based on human values as we grow leading towards becoming an employer of choice with a continued focus on customer satisfaction. 

Academic Credentials 
Guljit holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in engineering/management from USA and India. He has also participated in and conducted several business, professional, and leadership development training programs throughout his career, in support of his continuing educational and personal activities. He has received several lifetime achievement awards and was a Member, Advisory Committee, Department of Technology and Engineering, College of Lake County for several years. 

Other Interests 
Philanthropic activities: Guljit finds it extremely satisfying to help people in need, especially supporting and guiding them through their educational process. When he gets a chance, he even teaches school children by participating in the Junior Achievement Program supported by US corporations in the Chicago area. In his free time, he enjoys traveling to new places, golfing, power walking, horse riding, and yoga.
