The GCC Opportunity: Why Global Enterprises Continue to Choose India
Over the past two decades, India has emerged as the preferred destination for Global Capability Centers (GCCs), evolving from an outsourcing location into a strategic hub for innovation, digital transformation, and global business operations. Today, leading MNCs such as Microsoft, JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Walmart, Chevron, Boeing, and Philips operate significant business functions through their Indian GCCs. In the last 5 years, over 400 new GCCs have been set up, with around 20% of Forbes 2000 companies establishing their GCC footprint in India; India currently hosts more than 1,700 GCCs, generating approximately USD 64.6 billion in annual revenue. Industry estimates suggest that the sector could exceed USD 100 billion by 2030.
