The Finance & Accounts (F&A) department under the BPM practice at Nexdigm Pvt Ltd in Pune focuses on delivering end-to-end accounting and financial process solutions to global clients. Their services include transaction processing, financial reporting, compliance, and statutory filings. The team leverages technology and domain expertise to drive efficiency, accuracy, and process improvements across areas like P2P, O2C, R2R and MIS support.

Role Description

The Business Analyst will serve as a strategic partner to business stakeholders by translating business objectives into actionable insights and scalable data-driven solutions. The role requires strong Python-based analytics and automation expertise as the primary technical competency, followed by advanced SQL skills for data extraction, validation, and analysis. The incumbent will work closely with business teams and development resources to drive reporting excellence, process efficiency, and business transformation initiatives.

Required Competencies, Skills, and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Python for data analysis, reporting automation, business problem-solving, and process optimization. Python proficiency is the most critical technical requirement for this role.

• Strong expertise in SQL for data extraction, querying, validation, data analysis, and reporting.

• Strong expertise in Business Analysis, Requirement Gathering, and Stakeholder Management.

• Experience in developing MIS, management reports, dashboards, and business performance analytics.

• Understanding data warehousing concepts and cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake or similar technologies.

• Exposure to ETL/ELT processes, data transformation frameworks (DBT preferred), and workflow automation tools.

• Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

• Understanding of Finance and Accounting processes, financial reporting, and business performance metrics.

• Experience working with Agile project delivery methodologies and distributed/offshore teams.

• Knowledge of AI, automation, and emerging analytics technologies will be an added advantage.

• Proven track record of independently managing analytics projects from requirement gathering through implementation.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering business insights that have improved operational efficiency, decision-making, or reporting effectiveness.
