JOB DESCRIPTION:

Yourjob responsibilities will include,

 

GST COMPLIANCE SUPPORT:                                                                                                     

 

FILINGOF FORM GSTR-1 (OUTWARD SUPPLY)

 

       Liaisewith Finance and Accounts, and other departments for required data andinformation.

       Testcheck review of key aspects such as valuation, place of supply and time ofsupply determined by the client.

       Testcheck review of outward supply invoices, agreements, debit notes and creditnotes, including HSN / SAC summary to be provided in GSTR 1, including periodicscrutiny of liability and other tax related GLs and ensure reconciliation.

       Preparationof GSTR-1 return and related workings/schedules for allocated states andsharing with reviewer.

       Co-ordinationwith ASP/GSP/Consultants for filing of GSTR-1 on GSTN portal.

 

 

FILINGOF FORM GSTR-3B & ITC RECONCILIATION AS PER COMPANY RECORDS (GLS) ANDGSTR-2A

 

       Preparationof Input Tax Credit Register.

       Availingeligible input GST credit (ITC) available on materials/ services, and/orreversal of erroneous Input Tax Credit.

       Computationof final ITC to be availed/reversed and final GST liability.

       Monthlyand/or annual ITC reconciliation between GSTR-3B, 2A, and Purchase Register/Company Records.

       Assistancein preparation of payment challan for payment of GST liability, if required;

       Preparationof GSTR-3B return and related workings/schedules for allocated states andsharing with reviewer.

       Co-ordinationwith ASP / GSP / Consultants for filing of GSTR-3B on GSTN portal.

 

FILINGOF FORM GSTR-9 AND FORM GSTR-9C

 

       Preparationof GST Annual Return and Reconciliation Statement in prescribed format i.e.GSTR 9 and GSTR-9C

       Computationof additional liability, if any, along with interest.

       Co-ordinationwith ASP/ GSP / Consultants for filing of GSTR-9 & GSTR-9C on GSTN portal.

 

FILINGOF GST REFUNDS

 

       Preparationof various refund and submissions of the same in respect of the allocatedstates.

       Submissionand follow up with GST Department for refund claims.

 

OTHER MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT                                                                                          

 

       Maintenanceof records as required under GST laws for allocated States and retrieve them asand when required;

       Retrievaland sharing of workings / documents / information/ past records etc. with taxteam

/consultants for any scrutiny / enquiry/ assessments / appeals etc;

       Stayupdated on latest tax rulings, changes in law and update the Taxation manualaccordingly;

       PrepareMIS and reports for senior management in respect of the allocated states, asand when required;

       Liaisewith external auditors to ensure smooth audits and reporting for quarterly /annual audits;

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

 

·        A strongpassion and interest for tax

·        Shouldhave handled indirect tax work during articleship and / or upto 1.5 years postqualification mainly service tax, Customs, FTP, SEZ, VAT, Central Excise andGST

·        Tally andExcel Knowledge. Also proficient knowledge of using Computer systems andGovernment websites.

·        Basicknowledge of Indirect tax laws

·        Ability to work in a team

·        Comfortable with department liasoning
