A.K. Viswanathan (Vis) brings over four decades of global experience spanning business transformation, technology, governance, risk, and leadership development across India, North America, and the Middle East. Vis serves as a Senior Advisor, providing strategic guidance to drive business growth. He works closely with Nexdigm’s group leaders to advise on business strategy, talent and succession planning, corporate initiatives, and new market opportunities.
Vis, a solutions provider, is known for encouraging teams to challenge conventional thinking, embrace change, and adopt more effective ways of working. He is a strong proponent of engaging with people with passion, fairness, and equity.
Vis’ ability to simplify complex technical issues and communicate them in business terms allows him to engage effectively with clients across industries. Combined with his experience across a wide range of assignments, this has helped him develop strong client relationships and provide strategic inputs that address complex business needs.
Vis has extensive experience, including more than two decades at Deloitte, where he built and coached several high-performing teams across geographies. During his tenure, he led Risk Advisory Services for the Tata Group and Cyber Security Services for the Financial Services Industry (FSI) in India, while also managing several key large accounts.
Vis is an Independent Director and a Life Member of the Institute of Directors, India. He is also a Certified Coach under Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder-Centered Coaching and is one of the MG India 25 coaches. Vis also serves as a Fellow (India) of Cyber Security Board Reporting, a global organization dedicated to advancing cybersecurity reporting standards and frameworks for corporate boards.
Vis is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Information Systems and Control Association, USA. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from D.G. Vaishnav College, India.
On a personal front, Vis enjoys playing golf, reading, and traveling.
