With over two decades of experience and in-depth tax knowledge, Maulik heads Direct Tax & Regulatory Services, Transfer Pricing, M&A Tax, and International Tax at Nexdigm. He ensures high-quality service delivery for the overall tax practices.

Maulik has experience across Information Technology, Financial Institutions, Automotive, Consumer Products, Pharmaceuticals, and Manufacturing. He assists multinational clients on various matters, including inward investment, cross-border investment structuring, contract structuring, taxation of digital transactions, BEPS Advisory, Global M&A and restructurings, transactions, Permanent Establishment (PE), and expatriate tax. Maulik also advises multinational corporations on Indian and foreign transfer pricing rules in all contexts, including planning, litigation, Advance Pricing Agreements (APAs), and contemporaneous documentation studies.

Maulik is a homegrown leader who worked his way up the organization, initially handling client execution and delivery. His passion for tax provided him with opportunities in operational and leadership roles within the tax practice.

Maulik is a regular speaker on tax matters for industry events. He actively participates in conferences pertaining to transfer pricing and international taxation in India and overseas. He has also trained a number of tax officials over the years.

Maulik has authored various thought leadership articles in global media on a wide range of tax-related topics. He has been featured on several prominent publications, including The Times of India, Bloomberg Quint, Consultancy Asia, and BusinessWorld magazine. He also serves as a mentor to his diverse team comprising of Chartered Accountants, Lawyers, MBAs, and Economists. He has been recognized as a Highly Ranked Practitioner by Euromoney’s Transfer Pricing - Expert Guides.

Maulik is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a specialization in Economics from R.A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics (India).
