Nexdigm is hiring a lead for Projects:

Being a position that falls in the management cadre, the role itself isan exciting mix of operational delivery and leadership. We strongly believe infreedom of operation and that clearly reflects in our modus operandi. The objective of the role is to drive strategic corporate projects in aprofessional manner, providing guidance and solutions where required, reportingback to the management and ensuring timeliness and completion of projects. Thisposition will be a bridge between management and project teams, and the roleenvisages a monitoring, guidance and support role for all the corporateprojects.

The role also envisages Key Accounts Management. This would require both- the ability to develop stronger relationshipwith Nexdigm’s existing contacts, develop new connects with the client group indifferent functions as well as in different geographies.

Rolespecific skillsets:

Project Management:

 

  1. The resource will lead all Corporate levelprojects. Appropriate teams shall be formed for each project and later ondisbanded once the project is over. While each project will have its ownproject management team structure, resource should be to:
  2. ·       Manage 2-3 big size  Corporateprojects in parallel and ~30-40 projects
  3. ·       Ensuring the successfuldesign, implementation and commissioning of the project within timelines andbudget
  4. ·       Managing and meetingCustomer Expectations
  5. ·       Keep an eye on the ROI ofthe project and report projects with bad ROI
  6. ·       Ensuring the work is beingexecuted as per the Project Plan, any deviations are to be recorded andreported to the stakeholders
  7. ·       Ensuring Change Managementis being followed at site to ensure addition / deletion from the scope is beingrecorded and reported as per the change management process.
  8. ·       Monitoring &Controlling projects with respect to financial compliance & team management
  9. ·       Preparing appropriateproject management reviews – working on project control book, baselines &resulting data required for reporting business unit
  10. ·       Have theability to troubleshoot in case the project team runs into obstacles
  11. ·       Accountable for thedelivery of corporate projects to our Management
  12. ·       Providemanagement with options where project teams require help or intervention
  13. ·       Providemanagement with options where project teams require help or intervention
  14. ·       Implementation deadlineswrt to their support and escalation matrix.
  15. ·       Define and manage problemreporting, escalation and resolution procedures.
  16. ·       Provide coaching andfeedback to all  team members
  17. ·       Institutionalize projects,handover to the teams and move on to the new ones
  18. ·       Should be a SolutionFinder
  19. ·       Ability to putup Milestone Charts, Gantt Charts etc

 

An essential aspect of the role would be to develop Key AccountsManagement for the Group.

 

Key Accounts Management:

  • ·        Set up a robust plan and process for Key Account Management (KAM)working with various practice leaders.
  • ·        Identify stakeholders for each account based on geographies, currentlevel of relationship and potential for growing that relationship
  • ·        Identify specific clients where the top management needs to regularlyinteract with the client
  • ·        Monitor the progress of client interaction and progress
  • ·        Set targets for stakeholders
  • ·        Evaluate the progress and suggest change management where required
  • ·        Monitor and report progress to the management.

 

To be a tailor fit, you need to have:

  • -         An engineering degree with 10-12 years of experience
  • -         Certification in ProjectManagement Certification on PMP
  • -         Team handling experience
  • -         Should have good experience of working with cross-functional teams andhave a collaborative work culture
  • -         Inspirational leader with assertive personality and with a coaching andmentoring approach ;  should be able tohandle different sets of personalities in the team including Class A type
  • -         Strong background of process-oriented delivery approach
  • -         Should have the ability to ask tough questions / probe and find out theroot-  cause when tasks are runningbehind
  • -         Give the management an actual ground level reality of the progress ofany project
  • -         Should have strong Critical thinking skills: Should notact on emotions or from received knowledge but have the ability to be objectiveand evaluate independently an issue or situation and thereby form anindependent judgement.
  • -         Should have a Quality bent of mind and have the abilityto oversee the activities and tasks that are required to deliver the project atthe stated level.
  • -         Should have strong conflict management skills and be astrong negotiator – have the ability to be able to give a pushback, diplomatically,so that all parties concerned feel they are getting what they want. Have theability to resolve disputes before they blow up and threaten the project. 
  • -         Should be able to identify, assess and control risk andhave the ability to see those issues before they become problems. 
  • -         Should have strong communication skills – be able toarticulate what is expected from the project team members.
  • -         Should be organized, follow up tenaciously and submit progress reportson a regular basis clearly signaling concerns if any.
  • -         He should not be a mere paper pusher; should be capable of rolling uphis sleeves and getting down to working himself
  • -         Should have a strategic mindset and the ability to identifyopportunities in client inter-actions.
