With nearly two decades of experience, Saket leads the Indirect Tax services at Nexdigm and plays a central role in expanding our offerings to our clients’ evolving needs. Saket is an experienced Lawyer as well as an expert in GST, Customs, and VAT for the GCC region. His vast experience helps him improve efficiency by integrating knowledge with sound practices, leading to improved capabilities and enhanced client experience.
Saket leverages his expertise across verticals to establish holistic, customer-centric solutions. He plays a cross-functional role encompassing Policy Advocacy, Project Management, Litigation Management, Tax Risk Management, Business Partnering, Transaction Advisory, and Strategic Tax Planning.
Before joining Nexdigm, Saket worked as the National Indirect Tax Head of Vodafone India and Vodafone Idea, where he spearheaded the implementation of GST for the telecom giant. He has also been associated with a leading consulting firm, supporting clients across industries. An expert in tax litigation, he has represented large business houses before Central and State Governments for GST, Service Tax, Customs, and Central Excise disputes.
Saket consistently contributes to developing thought leadership. He regularly addresses sessions at leading forums, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Chamber of Tax Consultants, and National Academy of Customs and Indirect Taxes, and has been a part of panel discussions for Confederation of Indian Industry on GST. As an author, he regularly contributes articles in reputed journals. He is the co-chair of USIBC’s GST Working Group. In this role, he liaises with government stakeholders in India to advocate the interests of US multinational companies.
Saket holds Bachelor’s degrees in Commerce and Legislative Law from Mumbai University (India). He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant.
On a personal front, Saket spends his free time practicing yoga, reading, swimming, and playing cricket.
